Colour

Over Thunderbolt, colours come through exactly: we measured a mean colour difference of 0.14 on grey test patches. For fine coloured lines there is Full colour.

The display uses an sRGB-like colour profile. Wide colour (P3) and HDR aren’t supported in this version.

Full colour (4:4:4)

As standard, the lossless picture is sent the way macOS captures it. Text looks as sharp as on any display, but coloured lines one pixel wide can look softer. If you work with such detail, choose Colour › Full (4:4:4) in Settings › Advanced.

It works over Thunderbolt only, at Highest.
It lowers the frame rate: about 41 fps at 4480 × 2520.
